Yeah? True, but let’s not forget, we hide our women in make-up. We don’t beat them if they don’t wear make-up, but we make them feel less if they don’t. And we hide their bodies. For some reason men are allowed to walk the streets in the summer with a shirt on, but a woman doing the same, would probably get arrested for indecent actions.
Sure there are lots of groups within the Muslim world. But they are of the same misconnected rationality as Anders was suffering from. Religion can also be a powerful authority that will cause normal people, believe that they have to do certain things for their faith. This is a concept that people have been using for 100s of years to gain power of others. Kings, priest, shamans etc.
Now people, media, even culture scholars have made ground braking statements about Muslims but it’s all just over the top exaggerated thoughts that some people have taken seriously.
Just like people in Europe don’t accept what Anders did, Muslims don’t accept what "their" terrorists did. Terrorism brings shame to everyone behind it.
Sorry but there will be a few more posts about Anders Behring Breivik and the norway massacre on the island Utoya.
