(Catholic Culture) - The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services is considering the American Civil Liberties Union’s request that the administration require religious hospitals to offer “emergency” abortions.
“We have acknowledged receipt of letters from the ACLU and an organization holding the opposite view, but have taken no other action,” said Ellen Griffith, spokeswoman for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. “All we can say is that the matter is before us for consideration.”

The one thing I'll give the Whitehouse credit for is consistency. This Democrat controlled administration has regularly and consistently made insult after threat to the U.S. Catholic Church. Now we have the latest. If such a policy were implemented, it would force the shut down of every Catholic Hospital in the nation, and Obama knows that. This is a calculated move on the part of the administration. It may be a threat of some sort.
Whatever the case it's just another event in the litany of anti-Catholic gestures made by liberal Democrats from the Whitehouse, Congress and the mainstream news media. It's yet one more reason why if you support the U.S. Democratic Party, you are directly supporting the enemies of the Catholic Church. To be a Democrat in today's world, is to be an anti-Catholic, whether you intend to be or not.
